My name is Millie and I am a purebred, 2-3 year old female beagle. I was rescued from a commercial breeding facility in China, where I may have been sold to the dog meat trade, used as an experimental test subject in a laboratory or even both. Luckily, rescue efforts were made by Chinese activists and Beagle Freedom Project for me and my friends to be flown from Bejing to the US. I live in my foster home with three cats and an older dog.
I am younger and very busy, active and energetic. I love everyone I meet and live with, even the cats! I am a cuddle-bug and love experiencing new comfy beds to nap in. I would really love a home with another active dog, maybe even some children. I need to be in a home with someone active who will exercise me daily and keep me stimulated. I do have some separation anxiety when my human is away, so please only consider adopting me if you are home often and have a flexible schedule, and can be patient with me as I learn and adjust. I am doing great on potty training and leash walking but still need some work! I am doing much better the past few weeks and well on my way to being a housebroken beagle! I am loving and affectionate. I’m already spayed and vaccinated, so I am ready to go home with you right away!
