An Open Letter to UK Laboratories & Lab dog Breeder – Please give your dogs a second chance of Life

Animal-loving celebrities Will Young, Graham Norton and Deborah Meaden are among 40 celebrities who have sent an Open Letter to British Laboratories and the UK’s only laboratory dog breeder MBR Acres asking them to give their lab dogs a second chance at life.

The full list of celebrity names are: Will Young, Graham Norton, Deborah Meaden, Dame Joanna Lumley, Tracy Edwards MBE, Carol Royle, Fearne Cotton, Rob Rinder, Vanessa Mae, Jenny Seagrove, Charlie Hunnam, Ross McCall, Marc Abraham OBE, Victoria Summer, Wendy Turner-Webster, Gary Webster, Rylan Clark, Eleanor Tomlinson, Alan Cummings, Jo Whiley, Pixie Geldof, Fifi Geldof, Nicole Appleton, Natalie Appleton, Miriam Margolyes, Anneka Svenska, Lucy Watson, Georgia Meacham, Claire Richards, Jake Shears, Nicola Roberts, Pandora Clifford, Jamie Maclachlan, Grahame Wood, Katherine Haber MBE, Gary Dartnall OBE, Peter Berglund, Adrian Ward, Nigel Daly OBE, Ione Butler.

BFP UK have contacted the laboratories and MBR Acres on several occasions asking for them to work with us but unfortunately, they refuse to respond. We are hoping that by high-profile people agreeing to add their names to an open letter, the companies concerned, will allow us to help their animals just as we have been able to do with many animal testing facilities in both the US and worldwide.

After all they have been through in their lives, we believe the dogs deserve some fresh air, a soft spot on a couch and some affection. Whether that be for 10 years or a few moments. It is better for them to spend their last years, months, or even just days in comfort, being cared for and loved, rather than in a laboratory, alone and unknown.
