Name: Maya
Breed: Great Dane & Mastiff Mix
Gender: Female
Age: 3 Month Old
Location: Los Angeles, CA.

I am adopted. Woohoo!!

Maya was pulled from a kill shelter in Los Angeles when she was discovered with a terrible puncture wound in one of her thighs.

She made a miraculously fast recovery after an emergency surgery and is using her leg and getting around just fine again! Her leg is functioning perfectly but she may have later medical needs as she grows. She may not be as agile and have as much stamina as other dogs of her breed and size, so she requires a home who can afford potential medical costs in the future.

Maya is extremely loving and playful. She must be adopted to a home with another playful and friendly dog. She loves making friends with everyone she meets! Because Maya is going to grow into such a large dog, she requires a home with a big enclosed backyard. She will need stimulation and lots of playtime. She really likes her daily naps too! Maya would appreciate a comfy bed to rest in during the day.

She is not house-broken yet, but it’s a work in progress. She recently received her puppy boosters, so she just started learning to walk outside. She will need to be adopted by someone who can work on housebreaking and other basic commands.
