Name: Loretta Lynn
Breed: Hound
Gender: Female
Age: 3 years old
Location: Roanoke, VA
Loretta Lynn has had a tough life. It seems she was used for breeding, and when the breeder was done with her, she was dumped in the woods. As if that isn’t scary enough for a dog, Loretta Lynn suffered even more because she is blind. She wandered around for possibly weeks before being rescued. She ended up at an animal shelter, and at that point Beagle Freedom Project learned of her plight and stepped in to save her.
Loretta Lynn has been in a loving foster home since then, and really coming into her own. She has begun to explore a bit more and more each day as her confidence grows. She is getting healthy, gaining some weight and is now ready for her forever home.
Despite being blind, Loretta Lynn can find her way to her safe spot kennel with no problems when it’s time to relax, and she has made a good mental map of the home so she can get around very easily.
Loretta Lynn is very docile and gentle and will be a great companion. A quiet home without too much going on would be ideal for this girl so that she can continue living her best life.
