Name: Bennie
Breed: Labrador
Gender: Male
Age: 11 Month Old
Location: Los Angeles, CA.

I am adopted. Woohoo!!

Bennie was found abandoned in the streets in China with half his body in the rear paralyzed. Luckily, compassionate rescuers found him and brought him to safety where he had surgery with the hopes he would recover.

It has been a few months, and Bennie is still not able to walk on his own, but we have hope! We were asked to bring him to America, where he could get physical therapy and possibly another surgery if needed.

Beagle Freedom Project will be there every step of the way to make sure the transition, therapy and surgery are covered, but we need someone special to open their door and heart.

Currently Bennie is in rehab but will need foster/adopter very soon. Uses wheels well. Is adorable and sweet and wants to play and kiss all day! Has no idea he is paralyzed.

This sweet puppy will make any home a happy home! Someone just needs to understand the care involved in what he will need.

UPDATE (12/28/2018) :

He has been living for several months at a rehabilitation facility in the hopes that he will be able to walk again. As a puppy, he has no idea there is anything wrong… all he wants to do is play and run. He is super fast in his set of wheelies, dubbing the nickname Bennie and his Jets.

Many specialists said he would never walk again, but the facility where is being cared for has hope! With that spirit and Bennie’s will to love, he took his first step just a few days ago!!

Although he has a long way to go, this spirited pup isn’t giving up – and neither are we.

Our Rocket Man is ready for his forever home and BFP will be there every step of the way to make sure his rehab continues and is paid for. All we want is for Bennie to have an out of this world loving home.

ADOPT Ba-Ba-Ba BENNIE and his Jets!
