I am adopted. Woohoo!!

Bart and his brothers are available for adoption through Beagle Freedom Project! They are available for adoption throughout Southern California. New Zealand White rabbits are most commonly used in biomedical research, although other breeds, such as the Dutch Belted rabbits, are used in testing as well. Rabbits such as the Dutch Belted are used in toxicity and safety testing of substances that may include chemicals, medical devices and drugs. They are often subjected to eye and skin irritation studies for testing cosmetic products, household products, chemicals, and personal hygienic care products.

Bart and his brothers are approximately 1 year old. Dutch Belted rabbits can live anywhere from 5-8 years. They are very capable of learning how to be litter trained and have the potential to become very friendly, sociable and loving. Dutch Belted rabbits enjoy being handled with care, resting in your lap or arms. They are a smaller breed of rabbit and require little clean up, especially when litter trained! Our Dutch Belted rescues are curious, adventurous and enjoy the great outdoors! If you are interested in fostering or adopting, please be able to provide them outdoor time where they can enjoy the cool grass under their feet and fresh air. They love timothy hay, carrots and other green snacks, so don’t throw your unfinished salad away!
